Laura Bush Memoir

The word on the street is that Scribner -- an imprint of Simon & Schuster -- has signed Laura Bush to write a memoir to be published in 2010. The book is to be recollections of personal and historical moments, including eight years (egad!) in the White House. If you can't wait until 2010, you might try the novel American Wife, by Curtis Sittenfeld, whose main character lives a life uncannily similar to that of the First Lady.
