Sorry for the little hiatus. I took a few days off to rest up and ring in the New Year -- although I discovered those two activities to be somewhat contradictory. Essentially, a lot of football was watched (because it's that time of year) and a wee bit of champagne was quaffed. (I learned in Mim Harrison's book Smart Words: Vocabulary for the Erudite and Those Who Wish to Be that "quaff" means not just to drink but to drink with gusto, and that would be how I drink my champagne! For me, champagne is a bit like fuel additive for the car: it just makes everything run that much more smoothly.) But enough of that foolishness -- back to books! Happy New Year to you all! Here's to changes for the positive in 2009.
